Event supervisor
Professor Leonardo Marini is a dermatological surgeon specialising in both dermatology and general surgery.
He is currently the medical and scientific director at The Skin Doctors' Center in Trieste, one of the most advanced dermatosurgical clinics in northern Italy, where he performs Mohs surgery, laser dermatology, general and aesthetic dermatology.
Professor Marini participated in the founding of the ESMS in Portugal on 6-7 April 1990. He also founded the European Society of Laser Dermatology (ESLD) in 1996 and served as its President during its early years. He is co-founder and past president of the European Society for Aesthetic and Cosmetic Dermatology (ESCAD) and currently serves as its treasurer. As Chairman of the EADV Task Force on Lasers and EBD, he is also actively involved in the EADV Fostering Dermatology curriculum, where he teaches courses in laser dermatology and Mohs micrographic surgery. He is Honorary President of the Hellenic Society of Dermatological Surgery.
Professor Marini has published a significant number of peer-reviewed scientific articles in international medical journals, as well as numerous chapters in books. He also serves as a reviewer for many prestigious dermatology and laser journals.
He has given more than 800 clinical presentations at international congresses and scientific meetings.
